Welcome to my blog, powered by Blogger. Although I've had a blog for nearly 3 years, I really didn't know what to say.

Nowadays, things have more busy, hectic, exciting, funny, happy, satifsying, sexy, and maybe just may be the most important time in my life. School's winding down, my career is shaping up, and the winds are blowing in my favour. However, that isn't to say that I don't feel the world's pressure on my shoulders; it just means that I'll be complaining less about it, and might just have something worth sharing with the world.

So look around if you dare, thanks for stopping by, and try not to feed the trolls. :)

Sporting good times

Just to follow up on a previous blog, Mr. Tom Cheek, long-time radio broadcaster for the Toronto Blue Jays, is one of the 10 finalists for 2006 Ford C. Frick Award, as I first learned of on Batter's Box earlier this morning. Sad to see that Cheek wasn't voted in by the fans, but at least the nominee committee is paying due to this great man.

In other Jays news, first B.J. Ryan signs with the only remaining Canadian baseball team in MLB for good money and a good amount of time, and now A.J. Burnett has finally decided to do the same. I think J.P. Riccardi (who also gets a contract extension to 2010 for all this hard work) makes two very good signings here, but I still want a bat or two to put into the #4 and #5 slots in the lineup. Koskie and Hillenbrand just aren't going to cut it if we want a 95-win season in the tough American League East division. Plus, the payroll is up there, and after signing the 6-7 arbitratio-eligble players, that puts the Jays at around $75 million, so salaries have to be cleared out *cough*Hinske/Batista*cough* if the Jays get someone like Adam Dunn and Frank Thomas *drool*.

How 'bout them Leafs? Allison, Lindros, and O'Neill are really giving bang for the buck Leafs management dished out for them. I only wished I drafted Allison in my fantasy teams, although I do have him off waivers in one league, and the likes of Spezza, Richards, Savard, and even Yashin make it hard for me to find time for him in the other two leagues. Like I pointed out earlier on, Poni is looking good, and I would like to say that 40 points might just be possible this season for the big, defensively-reliable guy. Like my sister points out, he should be called Alexei Penalty-killer-sky. *rolls eyes*

Hold me
Whatever lies beyond this morning
Is a little later on
Regardless of warnings the future doesn't scare me at all
Nothing's like before
