» The random sampling of the mind of Brian Tang, on a semi-regular basis. New and improved since 2003!

Welcome to my blog, powered by Blogger. Although I've had a blog for nearly 3 years, I really didn't know what to say.

Nowadays, things have more busy, hectic, exciting, funny, happy, satifsying, sexy, and maybe just may be the most important time in my life. School's winding down, my career is shaping up, and the winds are blowing in my favour. However, that isn't to say that I don't feel the world's pressure on my shoulders; it just means that I'll be complaining less about it, and might just have something worth sharing with the world.

So look around if you dare, thanks for stopping by, and try not to feed the trolls. :)

Mmm... beer.Nick's place. There are not many other combination of two words in any language I know that instantly bring up the thoughts of lost money and dead brain cells... except lost money and dead brain cells.

For those without the privilege of knowing Nick Chan, he is a long-time friend of mine stemming back to grade 3 (yes, I use to be that young). He's the kid in your class that all the other guys wanted to be buddies with because he had all the good stuff: game systems, billiards table, dart board, satellite television, leniant parents. The pennacle of after-school activites was going to Nick's place. Of course, as we aged through the upper echelons of primary and secondary school, the activities changed, but the basic goal stayed the same: forget your worries for one brief moment in your complicated life.

Nick's place was again the place to be Thursday night. Good food (ok, KFC and cold pizza), good booze (ok, Blue, but once you get past 5, they taste better!), good games ($20 shorter, but no wiser), and good times. Throat is still a little sore, and my diet is totally out of whack, but otherwise no worse for wear. And it was super seeing you some people I barely remember from my brief stay at Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate and met for the first time: Steve, Kyle, Dave, Adam, Amber, Diane, Diane, Yannick, Mark, Tony, Jeff, J, Derek, and everyone else I forgot.

And naturally, thanks Nick for all the good friends and good times, I look forward to the next one.

Today's Music: Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo - Where Everybody Knows Your Name (Cheers' Theme Song)
Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
You wanna go where people know,
People are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
Your name.
