Welcome to my blog, powered by Blogger. Although I've had a blog for nearly 3 years, I really didn't know what to say.

Nowadays, things have more busy, hectic, exciting, funny, happy, satifsying, sexy, and maybe just may be the most important time in my life. School's winding down, my career is shaping up, and the winds are blowing in my favour. However, that isn't to say that I don't feel the world's pressure on my shoulders; it just means that I'll be complaining less about it, and might just have something worth sharing with the world.

So look around if you dare, thanks for stopping by, and try not to feed the trolls. :)

Crash and burn

My video card... purrty. The past week has been pretty rough for me. I started coming down with a runny nose and muscle fatigue around Sunday afternoon, and it didn't get any better the next morning. Turns out I caught the flu that is going around my household, ugh. Fortunately, plenty of liquids and bedrest kept me from being out of commission for too long. Dad's got it now, and Grandpa caught something at the Old Folk's Home, so it looks like the last male Tang standing (my bro) is next. ;)

But an unhealthy demeanor is not just limited to humans: my PC crashes just as I prepare to leave for school on Wednesday. Finally I was able to find time (and the courage) to open up the damn thing and figure out what the hell is wrong. Thought it was the Premium 2x512MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM I purchased about 5 months ago from TigerDirect (just realized they have a retail outlet in Markham when I passed by on the way home from a Japanese buffet place, Maison du Japan), but it was actually the GPU fan on the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro from about 6 months ago. Still can't get the damn thing to move, but I just opened up the chassis and placed an electronic fan beside it. So far so good, CPU is at 45C and the MB is at 25C for the past few hours. I don't have any sensors for the GPU, but it's cool enough to touch, and I'm still typing away here, so I'll takes what I can get.

Did the same thing last year when the generic power supply and CPU fan were crapping out on me. Sigh, I really don't want to bother with such superfical matters when I have so many final assignments to complete, not to mention the final exams just around the corner. Oh, and did I mention I start at IBM on December 22nd? Fun!

Poni came through last night with a couple of goals to help put those Thrashers away. And I swear that Kaberle is going to hit 70 points this year by just standing beside McCabe. At the very least, I hope so for my fantasy teams.
